Kyoto, Japan｜Tonkatsu Shimizu

This restaurant/ bar is truly a hidden gem. The service was very good and friendly. He gave us even tips what else to visit and see while we are in Kyoto. The menu is small, but the the items are very good. I can highly recommend to give it a try.

It was simply delicious! The preparation of the Tonkatsu sandwich takes about 20 minutes, to bridge the time I was offered a delicious appetizer for free. Great and friendly staff! Thank you 🙏🏼

Such a great place to visit while in Kyoto! We had highballs and the cook/bartender Kensaku was one of the nicest people we have come across. The pork sandwich was amazing and had a luscious crunch. We loved the soup too which was konjac stewed with pork. We cannot wait to visit again. Truly come give this place a shot! Thank you ❤️
