Cozy tempura restaurant on the 2nd floor with excellent service by 2 lovely (husband-wife?) staff. We went for a late dinner and there was no wait. They were very attentive and the food was quickly made. Portion size was just right. The matcha dipping salt was a surprisingly and nice touch.

Had a good time experiencing a tempura Omakase here. It is run by a family and they are very warm. The chef served very good tempura dishes that are unique like conger eel, scallop and we are impressed by the quality. Price is reasonable at 38xx yen per pax and each dish is served personally by the chef. You can also get tempura bento sets at 1000-2000 yen.

Excellent cost performance at this quiet 8 seat tempura restaurant in Kyoto. ¥2,980 (USD$23) for the delicious 14 course dinner set. Each piece of tempura is placed in front of you, one after the other. The final dish is a tempura donburi with a runny orange egg. Where can one find such incredible value. Add the 90 minute nomihodai (AYCD) plan if you plan on having 2 or more drinks. I can’t wait to return.
