Best yakisoba I've had since coming to Japan! It's not English friendly, but if you can overcome the language barrier it's the best ❤️

One of the top meals I’ve had in Kyoto, incredibly affordable, delicious noodles. So simple and yet incredible taste. The women dont speak much English but the other guests helped us.

The Oyaji is speciality of yakisoba. This restaurant was opened for 60 years ago. And present master of the Oyaji is third. The Oyaji's yakisoba is really re eally good. Especially I liked texture of noodle. I always like yakisoba. But this restaurant had different selecting system where I had eaten. First, I selected amount of noodle. Next I chose topping of yakisoba, for example folk, beef, egg fry etc... Then master made yakisoba, with souce. I recommend with cold beer and kimuchi when you eat the oyaji's yakisoba. Kimuchi is japanese style kimchi and the oyaji's kimuchi was fresh and delicious which I had eaten in Japan. That is made from japanes taro and japanese yam which I never had seen before. Master was nice too. If you want to go the oyaji, you should go at the lunch time. Because the oyaji had break time and dinner time is only for hour at 5pm to 6pm.
