More Comments at Google MapThe onigiri's (rice ball) here are quite good. All of the onigiri's are served warm, and you can choose, from the menu, the type of filling you'd like. From when I went, they had the options of a half boiled egg, shrimp, salmon, plum, seaweed, and more. Each onigiri is wrapped with seaweed, and are quite large. It taste good and I kept going for the hard boiled egg onigiri. The only thing I would prefer is for the ratio to be better balanced. It seems like there's 60% rice, 40% filling. But to be fair, it seems that's the case with every onigiri I've had in Japan. Anyways, the onigiri taste good. The primary difference between this and the onigiri that you can get at a convenience store is that it's warm, larger, and the wrapped around seaweed is moist. The store typically has it cold, smaller, and a crunchy seaweed wrapped around it. Either way, I'm sure you'll like the onigiri here.
Best onigiri ever!!! I can’t travel to kyoto now (because of COVID-19 🥲) But When I can travel to kyoto again I’d like to eat this good onigiri!
Been going here for rice balls as long as I can remember. Grilled salmon and tuna mayo are my eternal go-tos. You can't do better for downtown snacking.
