Kyoto, Japan｜Omusubi Kakinoki

Was in the area and saw the good reviews so I decided to try it out. It's a small local place with fresh onigiri. I was there at 10am and they were mostly sold out already! Their onigiri have lots of filling. They were about ¥200-¥220 each.

A basic Onigiri at a convenience store costs around 160 yen while the most expensive ones here are 200 yen. It's also fresh, tastes way better, has more filling, more variety, etc

Oh my gosh, bless the women that work here. We don't know any Japanese and when we showed up and saw that everything was in Japanese, we hesitated to go in. One of the employees came out and welcomed us in. There's no English menu so we struggled with the Google translate app for a bit. The entire time she was very patient with us despite being busy and having other customers to help. We never once felt like they were annoyed at us. When we actually figured out what we wanted to order, the omusubi's were fresh and delish!!
