Kyoto, Japan｜Ikkakuju - Shijo Shimmachi

A real hidden gem, we just went back here to eat again. Delicious okonomiyaki (and the chef was kind enough to accept my request for a vegetarian okonomiyaki), but also the other dishes were great. Nice atmosphere. If you are in Kyoto, definitely go!

Went for late lunch/early dinner based on a recommendation from our ryokan host. They had several gluten free options. We decided on an original gluten free Okonomiyaki which came out steaming hot and was delicious! We didn't have space to try it, but they also have gluten free udon on their menu as well! Great option for a budget lunch at only 850 yen for one okonomiyaki!

Highly recommend dining here, especially for the yakisoba. All around great experience and the food exceeded all expectations.
