Old school traditional Japanese bakery. Simple and delicious. No fancy menu or bread, just good old bread. The ladies were so friendly and welcoming. We ordered the shrimp cutlet, pizza, hamburger and cream. Do drop by if you’re a bread lover! 🍞

Delicious, fresh, affordable bread! What's not to love! Came here to grab breakfast 2 days in a row because the shop is near our stay in Kyoto. You could tell its a local favourite because of the people lining up despite the light rain. I tried the teriyaki chicken roll, fried kare pan (i think?), soft cream donut?bun (uhh it's been a while since my trip forgive me) on the first day. And I got shrimp cutlet roll, an pan (red bean jam roll). and apple pie for the second day. They all tasted so fresh and delicious! I wish my stay in Kyoto was longer just so I could try more bread from Maruki!

We got in line, ordered a bunch of stuff and ate at a nearby park. They were all good. The fish and shrimp sandwich, mentai toast, curry croquette etc... They were all good.
