Kyoto, Japan｜Bäckerei Perkeo

I love this bakery, very rare to find a German bakery in Kyoto since majority is French style. My favorite is their brotchen selection, simple but perfect to make your own sandwich at home. :)

I first visited this bakery to try their authentic German pretzels. The pretzels were wonderful, so I returned. On my second visit my wife noticed they had a sandwich menu, so we each ordered a sandwich to take with us for picnic on the Kamogawa river. The sandwiches were outstanding! They really tasted European, and I meant that in a good way, of course. The bread was just right: crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside. The ingredients inside the sandwich were rich and flavorful, and obviously of high quality too. Highly recommended! I'll be back again soon to try the pastries.

It is strange and unexpected to see a small cafe with German pastries and food in Japan, but this is a fact. Extremely high quality and delicious. I recommend
