My wife and I had our first meal here in Kyoto. It is a cozy environment for people who wish to enjoy some authentic Kyoto food. The service was also excellent. We ordered one of the signature 京料理bento set and oyakodon set “親子丼セット”. For the bento set, it was such a piece of art which the presentation itself was so elegant. Every piece looked “simple” (without visible sauces) yet the taste is so rich and diverse from one to another. For the oyakodon, it is simply the best one we ever had in our life. You only need to take note that the price might be slightly above average. Overall, it was great experience for us!

This is a must try place. Chicken soup is delicious. This family run Resturant have great service staff.

"Toriyone"'s oyakodon was as delicious as its reputation. The chicken is juicy, the eggs are full of flavor, and the specialty soup has the flavor of a Japanese restaurant. The fried chicken was also a product with a calmness.
