Kyoto, Japan｜Kushikatsu Daruma - Kyoto Porta

My spouse and I came here at around 6:00pm on a Tuesday. We’ve been to a location in Osaka so this is a familiar place. There was no line (but a line built up half an hour later) and we were seated in about 3 minutes. We ordered around 10 skewers and they came out in under 10 minutes. Everything was delicious for the price point. Service was fast and the atmosphere was lively. We would come back for 100%. Thank you for great service and great food at a good price

The kushiage is excellent here! The skewers arrive piping hot, the breading is sweet and savory, and the sauce is balanced perfectly! Start off with the 12 skewer set for ~2200JPY, which will get you beef, quail eggs, asparagus, pork, cheese, mochi, shrimp, and so much more. Then, feel free to add more of what you enjoyed or experiment from the many skewers you may not have tried!

Saturday noon. Everywhere is full of tourists. Of course, Daruma was also full, but I was alone, so I was able to sit down at the counter immediately. Kushikatsu was delicious. Even if you don't go to Shinsekai, you can enjoy it at nearby Porta.
