Stumbled upon this restaurant while sightseeing and was instantly intrigued by the menu. Walked in on a Sunday evening at around 5.30 pm, and there were plenty of seats. Ordered the omakase option (10 skewers). There is an option to order 15 or more skewers. The beef fillet skewer is not part of the set however, it can be added on if required. The staff members explained the menu in great detail, and when each item was ready to eat, they advised which dipping sauce (or no sauce) to pair the dish with. The carefully thought-out dishes on the menu were complemented well with the relaxed environment and refined experience. I would recommend this restaurant for those liking a variety of flavours and food textures.

It started to rain. The restaurants on our list were full. We walked into Copain and we were lucky! The chef was really nice. The omakase menu was perfect for us. They helped us understand how the system works to match the course to the right sauce. The beer and wine complemented the food. The tea and sorbet finished the meal with a very reasonable bill. Couldn’t ask for more.
