Kyoto, Japan｜Stand Aiyo! Karasuma Takoyakushi

I was looking for a place that does kushikatsu and came to this place after seeing the reviews. Although the staffs were not good with english, the phone ordering system was easy. We ordered the 10 pieces omakase set, conger eel and the tofu salad. The salad was so good with the tofu and the dressing pairs well with some seaweed on top that I didn't know was a good pair. The kushikatsu was fried very nicely and not too heavy. Every one of the skewer was done good in their own way. If I had to pick the least liked one is probably the eggplant one because the sauce I felt didn't go well. The conger eel was perfect and love the flavour of the sauce. Price was around 2000+ yen per person. Would definitely recommend others to come here.

We did not have a reservation but they managed to accommodate us for 40 mins, they were turning many people away so if theres more than 2 of you I recommend making a reservation. The food was delicious and the staff were really nice. There was a cute young waitress who was trying her best to make things clear for my parents in English, we really appreciated that. It was great, I wish we could’ve stayed longer to try more stuff but we really enjoyed it and were grateful for their hospitality.
