Best restaurant I ate at in all of Kyoto. The staff were unbelievably friendly and relatively cheap. Food was good. Will definitely come back here again and recommend anyone to come.

The pork shabu shabu was great and flavourful and tender. It was great that they helped us cook it so the timing was right. We also tried chicken karaage which was better than other places we’ve tried. Soba noodle refill is complimentary. Priced on the higher side, expect to pay for water after the first complimentary drink for tourists is consumed.

The pork hot-pot was great. Owner helped us to cook our food and made recommendations. The language barrier was real but they have English menus and the staff worked to communicate with us. Great food, great drink and responsive staff. The restaurant is smoking-friendly but since it’s a hot-pot the ventilation system keeps the smoke away. Will definitely return.
