In search of fuge my wife and I walked in here and were a bit overwhelmed by everything. We had a multi course meal that was top notch in taste, preparation, care, and presentation. I wish we had dressed nicer to be honest! The staff was kind and did their best to help us understand how to eat fugu and explaining how things were prepared. It's not cheap for sure but I think it was worth doing once.

Around Shirakawa, just inside Kawabata Street between Kyoto Shijo and Sanjo. A kind young proprietress and a taciturn general welcome you. The conger eel dishes here are made with the best products from the market, and the meat is really firm, but the bones are cut cleanly, so it's a perfect score to eat.♫
