Kyoto, Japan｜Kura Sushi

Fantastic place for sushi with not one but two conveyor belts. One standard where you select the food from the belt and one express where you order the food from your seat. Express belt has the advantage of being freshly prepared. We would have struggled without a Japanese guide since, though there was an English menu, all the instructions and the screen were in Japanese. Having said that we had a really good meal in a great atmosphere. Given how helpful everyone in Japan was I suspect that we would have found lots of help if we had been on our own. I would certainly go back, good food and a great experience.

100 yen per dish, even uni and ikura! Very tasty: I expected low quality for the price but it was actually really good. Also you get to have fun with the slot machine for toys. Not that i won any (even after 26 dishes!)

Huge love nch with friend. Sushi tempura more sushi under 1300¥ Easy order on ipad screen in english. Wonderful tea. Will go again. Tip: go at 11:30 for lunch or 5 ish for dinner or expect to wait.
