Osaka, Japan｜Oriental Bakery

I stopped in this closet-sized bakery while on a walk, and I'm so glad I did! It feels like an outlet for an un-branded version of the baked goods you find everywhere. I asked for a recommendation and ended up with a "mystery bag" of different treats. So many good things, for about $2!

When I come here, I buy a lot of side dish breads and sweet buns and freeze them in the freezer in the same bag as when I bought them. (It started when I threw it in as it was at first...lol) If you take it out of the freezer the night before you want to eat it and leave it at room temperature for the first time, you can eat it deliciously in the morning. I don't know what kind of ingenuity is used, but when it is frozen, it doesn't have the peculiar smell and it tastes the same as when it was freshly purchased. When I go there, the side dish bread and sweet bread are usually 20% off, so it's much cheaper than convenience store bread😆 A lady from Osaka (myself too) comes here all the time, so there's no doubt that it's good value and delicious 😀
