This has got to be one of the biggest hugely positive food surprises that we've had on our trip to Japan. We stumbled upon this bakery, because it was the only thing open early (8am) near our hotel that wasn't a grocery store, and wow are we glad we stopped by. Here are the highlights: tiny olive sourdough with two large green olives nestled in a cute egg-shaped exterior (with a small thumb sized window to peer down into one of the olive orbs), onion focaccia (creamy cheese and onions nestled atop a cloud-like bread, much softer than it looks), the best curry donut I have personally had in Japan (the curry wasn't overfilled and had a sweet-savory taste, and the dough around it was chewy, almost mochi-like in consistency), one of the best croissants I have had anywhere in the world (most Paris bakeries have nothing on this place to be honest), and a really interesting take on a tiny melonpan (the taste was slightly almond-y and had little black dots scattered around in a pleasant pattern that at first we thought might be ground up black sesame but definitely not sure what it is in reality). Every single thing we ate was incredible, and honestly, I think we may end up going back before we leave later this morning to see if there's any more baked goods that we can try or bring with us on the Shinkansen for a snack! I highly recommend this place. Worth the walk off the beaten path of the Dotonbori, especially if you're an early riser.

The cream cheese one and the garlic one were immense. A fantastic little bakery, very helpful and speak a little English too.

Delicious bakery off the side streets of Shinsaibashi. Very helpful staff who told us the flavors. We got cream bread, Walnut and cream cheese, a sweet potato roll, and curry bread. They came out fresh and smelled amazing.
