We stayed at the hotel nearby and used this French/Japanese bakery for breakfast. We tried a few different things and everything was great. The curry bread was almost sold out the evening before, so I thought it must be good and I was not disappointed: Crispy on the outside, dough not dry and the curry had an amazing taste. The other breads were also very good: Cheese bread was crispy outside and filled with processed cheese. I like the bread a lot but the filling not so much. But I guess this was the only way how they could achieve a nearly liquid texture. Raisin roll was almost like in Europe, crispy, but not too dark outside and had pudding in the middle, just like in Europe. Egg sandwich was very good as well. Chocolate bread was a bit dry, but came with chocolate pieces, which made it more interesting. Prices are very affordable and goods are freshly baked. Definitely try the curry bread.

I've been coming here for a number of years during my holidays and it never disappoints. The items for sale are different each year, so there's always something new and exciting to try. Some local favourites are always there though like the curry bun. Also note that the red sign in front of items (焼きたて) means that it's freshly baked!

Perfection! From the time of entering , till leaving, we were over joyed with the service and produce. It’s not very often I come across pastry that I couldn’t fault BUT the apples & custard nestled in the Mille feuilletée couldn’t be better. Apples were firm and cooked not sloppy! The red bean doughnut not covered in sugar and beans not overly sweet (the way I like it). The Mochi with perfectly roasted sesame seeds was special as well. The sandwiches looked superb with abundant amounts of filling. Luckily we discovered it one day before leaving Japan, looking forward to finding another store on our travels.
