I cannot believe how good the kushi katsu is at this shop. I was pleasantly surprised. I was initially planning on going here because it’s a staple Osaka cuisine and shop. Everything was delicious! Cooked perfectly with a perfect balance of breading, batter and flavor! Wow… is all I can say. You have to try the main item “Dote-yaki” SO DELICIOUS! I will definitely be coming back. Cheap food and beer, with exceptional quality.

Enjoyed the food! We had a round where we shared skewers between the two of us to see which ones we liked to reorder in a second round. Rules how to ear the Kushikatsu are displayed on every table and you can order via tablet. Quick, delicious, convenient.

It's skewered ingredients that's battered and deep fried here, and you'll find many such restaurants around the Shinsekai area offering the same, but Daruma has made a name for itself. The food can be ordered as individual sticks or you could opt for the sets that are available, very.much like a sampler of all the items that they have. The restaurant itself is not big but there's sitting all the way to the back or along the bar area. Food is good, though it can get pricey once you start to add on the sticks.
