More Comments at Google MapTucked in the excellent food court/basement level of this train station, this place runs an incredibly efficient (but not at all pushy) ship. They do have an English menu but it’s not really needed because they don’t have a lot of options beyond their stand-bys, but what they do have is absolutely delicious, and you really can’t complain about the price and value. The restaurant seems well-favoured by a lot of locals passing through the station, which we took as a great sign. As the only foreigners there, we didn’t feel unwelcome at all! We got the standard curry but it also looked like a lot of those around us chose to get the fresh cracked egg topping that looked tasty, too.
This was way better than expected. Not the average Japanese curry, but not an Indian curry either. Somewhat sweet and spicy. Portions of rice and curry are huge and it is served with pickled cabbage (curry sauce might be a bit too little for the amount of rice though). Beware that this might be spicy for people who can’t handle spice. Extra raw egg can be added for an additional price as well. Menu only has curry rice and hayashi rice as mains. Counter seats only.
It is very tasty.
