Osaka, Japan｜Kitashinchi Gyoza-ya

A small humble restaurant with good food. We ordered draft beers together with their signature dumplings, garlic dumplings and tomato dumplings 👍 The chef holds his phone to translate and tells us how we should consume the food in the best way recommended. Friendly and approachable 😌

Probably one of the best spots in Osaka if you are looking for good dumplings! We tried all of the dumplings and can say that all were great! It is nice that you are able to choose dumplings after your own preference, for example, i liked the italian style dumpling whereas my partner liked the garlic the most. The service was great! There was one guy working and he gave us tips and recommendations to what to try and how. The only problem is that they open in the evening… We wanted to comeback the day after and eat lunch but they were unfortunately closed :(

We dined here yesterday. It was one of the most memorable eating experiences that I had in Osaka and perhaps even in all of Japan. The menu is compact and includes a few types of Gyoza and Yukke. We had 4 different types of Gyoza - Specialty, garlic, Japanese Leek and Cheese. We also had Yukke. Each item was personally served by the owner, who gave a detailed explanation of the flavour profile and the best way to eat it. This special touch made the eating experience all the more interesting and exciting. The owner was also friendly, welcoming and you could tell that he puts a lot of care, attention and love into the food that me makes. Next time that I am in Osaka, I will look this restaurant up!
