Osaka, Japan｜Chao Chao Gyoza

Great find here in Osaka. Very small gyoza restaurant but very much worth the visit. Had a great selection, and none disappointed. I went for the Set of their famous staple gyoza, beer, and spicy cucumber. YUM!! The gyoza were so tasty.....juicy on the inside,and crispy on the outside. You have to get the stuffed chicken wings. These were easily the highlight and tasted amazing.

We have been coming to this restaurant every time we are in Osaka for almost a decade, which is testament to the quality of the food at Chao Chao Gyoza. The restaurant is small yet cosy and the atmosphere is great. The delicious gyoza are all freshly handmade each day and vegetable dishes are all prepared upon ordering. The top three dishes of the restaurant are also our favourite dishes, namely Chao Chao gyoza set, ebi gyoza and chicken and cheese gyoza. There is a large selection of food on the menu and plenty of drinks and fresh beer. English menus are available on request. Miyazawa-san who is the manager is very friendly, chats with us using a mixture of English/Japanese/body language and google translate. The staff are all polite and friendly. You can add their Line account to get various special offers and discounts every month. They also have a stamp card to collect stamps each time you eat there. After collecting a certain amount of stamps it entitles you to ¥1000 off the bill. On completion of stamps of one card it entitles you to ¥500 off every time afterwards. (This information is correct at time of writing this review.) No doubt the best gyoza restaurant in Osaka! Well worth visiting if you are in the area.

Oishi! We got a selection of dumplings, the stand ours being the deep fried chicken and cheese and the pork with garlic. Must try the chicken wing dumplings as well. Small place full of life and energy, the staff spoke English well and were very welcoming!
