Located on a wheelchair-accessible second floor of a random building deep inside what passes for a suburb in Osaka, with a name entirely in Japanese and menus to match outside, this Okonomiyaki place might scare you off with its counter only seating and super tight quarters. But tourists can feel comfortable because not only are there English menus, not only do they accept IC and many credit cards, but there’s even a sit down area at the back with tables that can hold 6 people face to face. The best part is that the English menu here explains the difference between all the types of okonomiyaki. It really helped me in the future when I was ordering this nearer the tourist traps. We waited for a brief moment at night, and ordered both the okonomiyaki and the yakitori. Both were fantastic, though I’ve had okonomiyaki with lighter batter. But the yakitori’s flavour was deep and savoury, not too sweet and plenty complex. This is a great place to get cheap eats!

We don't usually have breakfast and we weren't super hungry but wanted to try okonomiyaki after being turned down by several restaurants the night before in the Dotonbori area. This was the closest location to the hotel so we came here. I still have regrets only ordering one and sharing with my girlfriend. I didn't order more because in the beginning, I assumed one would be too much for how hungry we were and it also takes a bit of time to make. I've tried several different okonomiyaki spots in Japan since coming here chasing for the taste of this restaurant. No luck. This is the best one. I know I'll be thinking of this spot when I return to the states and will even try making my own keeping this restaurant's taste in mind. If I return to Osaka, this is a must stop. UGH I still regret not ordering more. Note: -Order minimum 1 per person. Even if you're not hungry. I'm still crying thinking about this place. -They have an English menu -Other reviews mention requiring a reservation. I tried going in without one and fortunately, they were able to seat us. They got super busy as we were finishing up, so I recommend coming when they open or making a reservation. I can see how they would be a reservation required spot.

Delicious classic Okonomiyaki! The restaurant is delicious, cheap, and hold a nice atmosphere. The waiters were super friendly and very welcoming (we are gaijins). Especially, the waitress was very friendly and even tried to speak some french with us, it was so nice of her !
