Osaka, Japan｜Grill Kojika

Went after visiting Sumiyoshi Taisha on New Year’s (one of the few restaurants that were open). The restaurant feels like something out of a Ghibli movie with cozy vibes. Owner had friends over so it was lively. No English menu, but nothing Google Translate can’t fix. We ordered two sets (beef steak and hamburg stew sets) and both tasted great - tasted almost like what you would have at your grandparents house. Owner and the staff members, which I believe are family members, are very welcoming and tried their best to speak to us despite the language barrier. Would recommend for those visiting the area.

Intimate restaurant where you'll find a wife choice for the dishes. Everything is homemade and delicious. The owners don't speak English and the menu is in Japanese, but the lady was very nice to us. I definitely recommend!
