Fabulous option for tonkatsu lovers. The meat was very tender and juicy, the mustard sauce matched really well with the pork. The chef and his assistant were very welcoming and professional. The chef speaks English so that is another bonus. It took me less than an hour wait with 5 people ahead of me because the shop is quite small. But well worth the wait!

This is a very popular place with a maximum seating capacity of ~16 pax (with only 3 tables for 4 pax inside), so don’t come here if you’re in a hurry. We queued outside for about 30–45 min before we could get in. Staff/chef is super friendly and fluent in English. Menus are also available in English. If you’re not sure what to order, go for the loin or fillet cuts. And as always, everything goes well with booze. The fillet was juicy, with great mouth-feel both when chowing down on a piece, and in the crunch of its fried batter. The loin cut was awesome too. The tonkansu are served with three dipping sauce options, and they go well with all three. Heck, try mixing the mustard and tonkatsu sauce together—you won’t regret it. The chef recommended the same.

The best tonkatsu I have had in my life .. today’s white pork was very Gumma and it was yummy. We ordered both the lean meat and the not so fatty meat. Both were delicious with nice batter and tender juicy pork inside. The owner cum chef was friendly and spoke very good English. He has been operating this place for 8 years with only 1 other person. Waited 30 minutes to get a seat and another 30 minutes for the food. But it was worth the wait. Might drop by again before we leave on Sunday. Wife loves it a lot.
