Osaka, Japan｜Tonkatsu Hon Katsuki

Easily accessible on the 12th floor of Hankyu Department Store. We arrived at about 7pm on a Wednesday evening. Very short waiting time with 3 people in front of us on the waiting list. Service staff were all cheerful and friendly. Even the chef came out to serve the food and greet customers. The pork and prawn katsu were good. Some cuts are fatty so be mindful of what you order if you do not like fatty pork. Miso soup was good. Cabbage and tea are refillable. Overall an enjoyable experience.

I arrived right before they took their last order and ordered the Yongen pork loin cutlet 160g. Was one of the best tonkatsu I ate in Osaka. Each piece was really juicy and went really well with the sauce and rice. Portion is prefect if you have a big appetite. Waitstaff was really friendly too. Food was so good I went a second time in my short stay in Osaka.

The lady who served us was super friendly and enthusiastic. We were welcomed with free flow iced oolong tea. Really a cosy experienced ☺️ The tonkatsu were thick and juicy. We ordered the 130g katsu and it was juicy and flavourful. The batter was light and doesn't feel heavy at all. Would recommend anyone coming here!
