This little hole-in-the-wall takeaway is a must-visit place during a trip to Osaka's Nishinari District. I visited most recently on a weekday morning in December and tried the tasty Takoyaki prepared by the elderly shop owner 👩🏼🍳. I enjoyed sitting in front of the store and having a chat with some locals and regular customers. The store owner kindly brought us some hot tea 🫖 for us to enjoy with the takoyaki. As of December 2023, the price is 300 JPY for 8 takoyaki which is still excellent value 🤑. Oden and other local snacks are also available.
With a crispy exterior and a tender octopus filling, each bite was a burst of savory goodness. The well-balanced combination of flavors, from the tangy sauce to the fragrant bonito flakes, elevated the taste to perfection. The portion size was generous, ensuring a satisfying experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the takoyaki and would rate it a solid 10 out of 10 for its delectable flavor. The female owner of the small shop deserves special praise for her friendliness and warm demeanor. She greeted me with a genuine smile and took the time to assist me with my order. Her helpfulness and attentiveness made me feel valued as a customer. Her friendly and approachable nature added a personal touch to the overall experience.
Kind lady serving the delicious takoyaki!
