My children who left the nest also love Chikara Shokudo, and I think Chikara Shokudo's Oyakodon is the best, so I can't eat it anywhere else. The uncle and aunt are both nice people, and the kids have been coming here since they were little, so they know each other and talk to each other in a friendly manner. Both udon and rice bowls have a gentle taste. We also recommend the nabeyaki udon noodles served in a small pot 😊

First time visiting Ako and stopped in for a little late brunch. In Kansai, the atmosphere is very similar to "Chikara Mochi Shokudo". There is something that is somewhat reminiscent of the store name. However, it doesn't seem to have ohagi. Hey? ? Does that mean that it's called "Chikara Shokudo" because it doesn't have rice cakes? Tonchi is working, isn't it? The shop is like a hideout in the intricate residential area, entering from the beautiful main street that stretches from Ako Station and is aimed at tourists. If you were visiting for personal sightseeing, it would be difficult to meet a shop on your first visit. A local guide took me to my favorite dining room. The atmosphere of the Showa era remains intact, the owner and proprietress are full of humanity and have a sense of closeness to the local community, and even the motorcycle in front of the store has a retro atmosphere that makes your heart dance. I can't imagine the price setting is the world of Reiwa. There are a lot of menus that cut one coin including tax. The oyakodon we had this time was 550 yen including tax, which is quite expensive for this restaurant. Can I get by with this? Well, the most important thing is the taste. The broth was neither too sweet nor too salty, just the way I like it, bringing out the flavors of the eggs and chicken. It should be noted that the taste of the chicken was very strong, but it was not hard, and I felt that it was not at the level of Oyakodon in this price range. I wonder if it's a local chicken in this region. My companion ate duck nanban soba, and he said that the chicken there had a good flavor, so there may be a secret in the cooking method. Whatever the case, it was very delicious. If this shop is in my living area, I will definitely go there.

An elderly couple is here. Although the store is old, it is kept clean. The soup stock is delicious and the noodles are soft. Personally, I recommend meat udon, curry udon, and nabeyaki udon.
