Kobe, Hyogo, Japan｜Maruo Shokudo

I came here after hearing that there was a restaurant in the basement of Center Plaza in Sannomiya where you could eat a large bowl of katsudon for 660 yen. I entered the store right after it opened at 12:00. It seems to be a popular restaurant as it was full in about 10 minutes. When I was looking at the menu outside the store, I noticed the fried chicken set meal (890 yen including tax) and went for it. You can refill the specially selected rice by yourself. The portion of fried chicken is even worse. There are about 10 pieces of fried chicken on a large plate. My stomach started to swell after I ate half of it, but I managed to finish it all. I couldn't get a second helping of rice (lol). Next time I'll try the katsudon.

Delicious! The miso soup is delicious with a strong dashi stock, and you can also get a second helping of rice. It's clean and the staff are very nice. The food is prepared immediately based on the movements of the customers, so you won't have to wait. I think it's a very friendly and child-friendly restaurant. This is a style in which you purchase meal tickets from a ticket vending machine. I think it's definitely worth stopping by when you come to Sannomiya ^^

The shop I was looking for was closed, so I went here. I ordered the katsudon. It's so delicious! The staff was also friendly and nice. I'll come back later!
