If you were to ask me what's the best meal in Kamigori, I'd probably answer Aoi's udon. In Kamigori, where there are few restaurants, the best restaurant is Handmade Udon Aoi. It's within walking distance from the station and has ample parking, although it's small, so it's recommended not only for local residents but also for people from out of town. The menu is divided into hot udon, cold udon, set meals, rice dishes, and nabeyaki, and the prices seem average. Gomoku rice is also delicious, and for first-timers, we recommend the Gomoku rice set meal. The characteristic of the handmade udon noodles here is the thin noodles, but even though they are thin, each udon is alive and you can feel the firmness and texture. My favorite is definitely the cold mountain udon (large). There are so many pieces of yam kake that are placed in the bowl without any gaps that you would not find at a chain restaurant, and the way they intertwine makes for the perfect cup. Please be sure to visit when you have lunch in Kamigori.
