I am not sure why this place is getting bad reviews. I went here because it gets a mention in Lonely Planet. The service was good. We were promptly offered a menu in English and had oden and sake. We had an enjoyable time.

Hidden gem in a local Japanese neighbourhood. Best oden I’ve had. Shumai is a must.

It was my first time visiting. I ordered the famous white oden and first, the Junmai Ginjo Nadagiku. Shiro Oden is an oden that uses sake lees as a sauce, and the flavor of the sake lees slowly oozes out, making it extremely delicious. You can enjoy salmon with just sake dregs. Oden came out in the form of a skewer. This is also very delicious. Himeji oden has become famous as a Himeji gourmet dish, but it is so delicious that I think this sake lees oden should be a Himeji gourmet dish rather than the type eaten with ginger soy sauce. It was so delicious that I also ordered some chilled grated sake. It was said that the alcohol content was 17%, but it was a delicious and satisfying drink. In addition, Banshu specialty Hinepon is also added. Although the bowl was small, it was filled with hinepon and was very filling. Since it is run by Nada Kiku, the alcohol was excellent and the food was excellent. I would also love to hear from you.
