Kobe, Hyogo, Japan｜Kitano Teppan-yaki

This is THE real teppanyaki. I have been to all different teppanyaki around the world but this place has made me realized this was what I have been missing for. All the ingredients including condiments are well selected and superb. The chefs are not fancy not tossing foods around, but real professionals that bring out the most potential from each food. I’m glad that I made it here before the inbound travelers start to fill up the place. An awesome restaurant and I sure will be back on my next visit to Kobe!☺️

Brilliant meal with excellent service. This was our first time trying A5 Wagyu and our first time in any teppanyaki restaurant and it easily beats every type of beef I've tasted so far. The chef was great to talk to and the food was great.

Oh man. This was, for sure, Kobe beef. We also got some really good Kumamoto beef as well, to fill us up, though that's a limited time special menu until May. Our meal was well worth the $160/person. The wait staff and the chefs were actively accommodating, and were also fun to chat with in their best English and our best Japanese. As a Teppanyaki grill restaurant, the chefs cook in front of you and their skill was, in my opinion, much more entertaining than the American version of doing a show for guests. Five stars for the amazing price to food, quality, and service ratio.
