More Comments at Google MapI went to Shikama's eel specialty store "Unanobo". According to the official website, they use safe eels that are strictly controlled from carefully selected overseas eel farms. It was fragrant, soft and delicious. Prices continue to rise and everything is getting more expensive, so it's pretty nice to be able to eat delicious eel at a reasonable price~(*´-`) This shop has counter seats and hori-kotatsu table seats. There are only 4 parking lots in front of the store, but please rest assured that there is a second parking lot in a residential area a little away. Takeout seems to be popular, and some people came while we were eating. Please note that Sundays are take-out only.
The atmosphere of the store is calm and the place is clean. The seats are far apart, so you can relax. Although it takes a while for the food to come out, you can enjoy carefully prepared and delicious eel for a reasonable price. Since this was my first visit, I ordered the festival (3300 yen, 2 eels). First bite, is it a little overcooked? That's what I thought, but it was also well-cooked and delicious. The soup also contains liver and is very delicious. I would like to visit this place again soon.
Despite being off the main street and hard to find, it's prosperous, I guess, because it tastes so good. I sometimes go to prefectures and regions where eel is famous, but if there is a restaurant so close, delicious, and affordable, I don't think I need to go all the way. The body is fluffy and the skin is crispy, and the first bite is delicious! I got it. Also, when it comes to eel, the sauce is often applied to the extent that it soaks into the rice, but the shop here has a sauce that does not soak into the rice. As I continued to eat, the rich and creamy fat of the eel was just right because it was entwined with the sauce. In addition, the soup washed away the richness of the eel, and I was able to eat the eel with a new feeling.
