Kobe, Hyogo, Japan｜Grill Suematsu

One of my favorites in Kobe. This place is 10-15-minutes distance from both sin-Kobe sta or Sannomiya sta. I recommend going to lunch time, since they serve value lunch meal. I personally recommend beef cutlets. Of course take-away and having it along the Ikuta river is another option.

6 seats at the counter, 3 tables on the 2nd floor Please be careful as the stairs to the second floor are steep. I ordered the recommended beef cutlet. I should have researched the menu order properly before ordering as it was difficult to understand. I regret that I should have taken my time choosing each item... Ordered prosciutto salad, ham salad, and chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets were delicious and impressive, and the mustard sauce was also delicious. Today's Soup: Clam Chowder It was delicious and had lots of ingredients. Contains lots of clams 🎵 Beef cutlet was delicious. Personally, I wanted a little more saltiness, so I added a little salt and pepper to go with the dish. I enjoyed eating it with the sauce. The espresso was delicious. The staff seemed to have a hard time due to the steep stairs. I visited the store at 6 o'clock on Saturday, and when I left the store after 7 o'clock, there was a sign on the door saying that reservations ended today.❗ We recommend that you make a reservation or go early.

I visited Mr. Suematsu, one of the top 100 Western cuisine restaurants. I arrived right after it opened on Sunday, but there was already a line and I had to wait about an hour and a half to get in. There is no parking lot. I came to the store by bicycle, but there is no bicycle parking lot, so you can park it on the side of the road at your own risk. At around 12:50, there was a chair at the end of the line that said ``Ends today'' and it seemed like you couldn't even enter the store unless you arrived a certain amount early. I was finally able to enter the store. My order was asked while I was waiting in line, and my food was brought to me as soon as I sat down. I ordered beefsteak and my partner ordered tonkatsu. The beefsteak was tender and juicy, and the simple demi-glace seasoning went well with the cabbage and potato salad. The tonkatsu was made with Kobe pork, and had a rich meat flavor and a crispy coating. Both were very delicious and I devoured them in no time. I felt like it was a bit of a waste to wait for an hour and a half and stay for 15 minutes. It can't be helped because the store isn't that big.
