Himeji, Hyogo, Japan｜Katsu Zen

A great tonkatsu restaurant in the heart of the Himeji shopping district. The menu was offered in four languages: Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese. The chef spoke some English but as I used Japanese I do not know the extent of his abilities. The menu has pictures with every dish so you know what you are getting even if you don't understand what's written.

We randomly found this place and had an amazing meal. A lot of people seem to complain about the owner, but he was nice to us. I was particularly surprised about the lack of frying smell. Very well priced as well. I really liked it and I eat there again in a heartbeat!
