On 23/10/25, while visiting Ikaruga Temple, I had a sushi set meal for lunch at Ebiya. The menu included 6 types of nigiri sushi, conger eel box sushi, Shinkomaki, peeled tuna rolls, red soup stock, chawanmushi, and 3 types of small side dishes, making it very cost-effective. It appears to be a family run business, consisting of the father who is a sushi chef, the mother who supports him, and the son who will be running the restaurant from now on. When I told him that I came from Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture, he said that he had moved there from Yamato around the time his ancestors built Ikaruga Temple. After that, it is said that the name "Ebiya" was given to the house by Ikaruga-ji Temple, and there are several other houses that also received the shop name, indicating that this area has very deep connections with Ikaruga-ji Temple. Do you get it. There are many national treasures, such as Engyoji Temple in Himeji and Kakurinji Temple in Kakogawa, but Ikaruga Temple was burnt down in the past, and it was said that it was a pity that there were no national treasures there, so I could feel the local affinity. When I finished paying, my mother asked me, ``Did you have enough?'' I replied, ``It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.''

I had a sushi set meal for lunch. I thought it was the best value for money at 1000 yen, even though it included a lot more than just sushi. It was a family run business with warm customer service and I felt very comfortable. I will go again!

As expected, it is a long-established sushi restaurant that is a hidden gem in the local area. The material of nigiri was thick and special. The braised sea bream was light and exquisite.
