Kato, Hyogo, Japan｜Anju

REVIEW UPDATE..15th of October 2023. The following UPDATE was requested by Transatlantic Travel and Tourism (Australia and New Zealand) STAR RANKING.... I would give 5 STARs on FOOD and ATMOSPHERE, However, I will reduce the SERVICE STAR to 3. NOTE, the 3 STAR RANKING is BECAUSE of NO Wheelchair access...... The staff service is a 5 STAR RANKING... Finally had the opportunity to review this Café in Kato. As always HYGENE is 1st. This café is clean! Honestly, there was no DUST on the ledges, kitchen was clean, floors are clean, I was totally impressed. The Staff, (All young Girls) are kind. Their uniforms are clean and ironed, shoes clean, fingernails clean and their hair styles were neat and tidy. Professional. Food; enjoyable, and tasty. Coffee and cake, not too sweet but just right. Cost? I believe that for a café of this size, location, service and quality and quantity of food; the price is excellent. I would recommend this café for people wanting something not in the city, or for a Sunday drive - visit this Anju café. For all of my cycling friends, here is a great meeting place. But, REMEMBER this café is busy, so, you might want to call 1st. UPDATE REVIEW 15th October 2023 Under the NEW Destination guidelines REVEIWS MUST include Disabled access ♿ information. The following information has been added. AS ABOVE, I stated this restaurant review on service, food etc is as above. No Change. On Sunday I visited Anju in Kato area again. However, the main point was for reviewing Disable access. (Wheelchair) UNFORTUNATELY, Wheelchair Access is VERY Difficult and there is no disability 🅿. Car Park. The car park has expanded, to across the road giving the Anju carpark more than 30 PLUS car capacity. But, there are NO CAR SPACES for disable or wheelchair access. The concrete path is not smooth and has gaps between the carpark and ramp. Restaurant Capacity Vs Car Park Volume Spaces Base on the restaurant seating capacity the car park capacity is excessive. On Sunday the restaurant was full with 3 couples waiting, however, the car park was not full. al least 2 families walked away. Hand Rail. There is no hand rail and the front door and entrance are very narrow. Toilets Access UNFORTUNATELY, there is no wheelchair access toilet 🚻. The door to the woman's toilet OPENs OUT, which means no wheelchair can access the toilet. This is no mans disability toilet. Inside the the toilet. (Woman's) There is space but limited space. The food was absolutely delicious. There's always a line.

This was my first time going here since the store changed location. I heard from an acquaintance that the staff were very helpful, and the atmosphere seemed to be quite nice. I ordered the omelet rice set and it also came with a drink, so I was satisfied.
