I went to ``Soba Yaki Iri-chan'' located in Marugo Market♪ I heard about the history of this restaurant on YouTube and wanted to go there at least once, and this time I was finally able to go ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆ The restaurant itself is quite small, so I decided to eat in the shared space on the side (^∀^) There are only 3 types on the menu: soba-yaki, soba rice, and omelet soba♪This time I ordered soba-yaki (medium)♪ The thinly sliced cabbage is crunchy and has an irresistible texture (*^◯^*) There's meat in it, but it's very modest (^○^) The noodles are delicious too (*^◯^*) The one I ate at Kobe department store when I was young (T ^ T) I was able to have a fun chat with a regular lady and it was a very satisfying lunch ✌︎('ω'✌︎ )

I saw it on the gourmet program "Fukuaji" on "J:COM Channel" and it looked delicious, so I came here. It is located in a deserted market with many shuttered stores. It has the feel of a take-out restaurant, but there is only one table inside that looks like it was brought in from home. It seems possible to eat and drink in the free space next door. There is no choice in the menu, only ``Soba Yaki'' and ``Soba Meshi''. You can also make omelet soba or omelet sobameshi for an additional 50 yen. There were 3 sizes, large, medium and small, so I ordered both in medium size! Soba Yaki Medium Noodles that have been lightly stir-fried and then left to rest, and the same amount of shredded hand-cut cabbage are stir-fried with minced pork and hand-cut green onions. The seasoning is subtle with bonito flakes, salt, and Worcestershire sauce, and the taste is a bit bland, but the flavor of the stir-fry makes it delicious enough to eat as is. Irichan's way of eating is to eat the two types of sauce prepared on the table, a sweet sauce and a tangy mud sauce, to suit your taste. We also have milled pink rock salt and shichimi, so feel free to use whatever you like! The generous amount of cabbage is shredded, so it mixes well with the noodles and gives off a sweet taste. At first, I enjoyed the flavor as is, then half with sweet sauce, and the rest with mud sauce. Each one is delicious, so I think it's nonsense to choose just one way to eat it. Maybe it's because it's soba yaki that it seems different from the yakisoba I've eaten before? Sobameshi medium There is no difference in taste since the ingredients, seasonings, and cooking process are the same as soba-yaki. I feel like the addition of rice makes it more filling. The noodles and cabbage were not too thin compared to what I had imagined, so I felt that the brown color of the soba was stronger.

Both yakisoba and soba noodles are really delicious. In particular, the yakisoba has a unique taste that does not rely on a fishmeal-flavored sauce. The cabbage is also crunchy and carefully prepared. The shop has a very nice atmosphere, and the aunties are always happy to talk to you. I always eat it next to my dog. I think this is an important taste of the downtown area that should definitely be preserved in Kobe.
