Kobe, Hyogo, Japan｜Chie Takoyaki

I visited Shin-Nagata no Chie for the first time, which I had been interested in for a while. I stopped by on my way home from the gym. I come here on foot so I can drink. The menu is simple, with only Akashiyaki and Akashiyaki set meals. I ordered the Akashiyaki set meal and waited for the food to arrive while drinking a bottle of beer. It seems to be a popular restaurant in the area, with a constant stream of customers even while waiting. Their signature Akashiyaki is so smooth that you can drink it. First, we marinated it in dashi soup. Most of the customers coated the Akashiyaki with sauce as soon as it arrived, and dipped it in the dashi soup before eating it. I had it with just the sauce and seasoning because the taste was strange. I thought it was well thought out, as the dashi stock can be used in place of soup when you have takikomi rice. I have never seen this combination in Akashi. You can also use it when you feel hungry. I'll come back later.

Akashiyaki from Akashi! That's what I thought (lol) At Shin-Nagata, where I went shopping I found Akashiyaki! Because I was hungry I had the Akashiyaki set meal for ¥980. Plenty of soup stock I was very satisfied with the fluffy Akashiyaki.

The price is a little high, and even for someone like me, who doesn't like mitsuba, the Akashiyaki with dashi soup, the Takoyaki with the dashi stock, and the sweet sauce were delicious. The rice cooked in the set meal was excellent.
