More Comments at Google MapTruly a hidden gem for western food. Bear in mind this is a small town without the big city glitter and sophistication. Had the pasta set for lunch and it is served with an appetiser, baked bread and coffee. The appetiser was surprisingly good, as with the pasta. The wait staff can hardly speak English but it’s not an issue if u just pay attention to key words and body language. Our pasta was supposed to be fish spaghetti, but the result was more like stir fried ramen noodles with silverfish (think of baby sized anchovies). The taste was really full of farm natural wholesome goodness. Non greasy, nice balance of flavours and noodles (not pasta) cooked just right. Would recommend this to anyone visiting the Distillery and in need of lunch. Japanese Italian ... but it’s good taste and very well done. They even have their own bottled olive oil and u can ask for refill portions of the baked bread (which was simple yet awesome )
Fantastic meal! After going to Suntory Distillery we were looking for a place to eat as it was after 2 pm. This place is quite charming, the set menu is great and the pasta so tasty!! (Unfortunately did not take photo of the pasta )
2017-07-26 Yamazaki Tagami This is our first lunch in Kyoto on our first trip to Japan. In the charming town of Yamazaki, there is an authentic Italian restaurant. Most of the people who come for lunch are locals, only the four of us are foreigners. , the considerate waiter, introduced the process of ordering food for us in English. . I am surprised that Japanese toilets are clean and odor-free, with a light floral fragrance and thoughtful mole-free toilets. I feel as comfortable as dining in my own restaurant. . Both my kids and my wife love this authentic pasta, but we don't know Japanese, otherwise we will say hello to the chef and give us a good lunch to enjoy and make memories.
