Best ramen we had in our 2 week visit to Japan. The staff was very energetic and welcoming! Felt like I was in an Anime! Thanks for the great experience, definitely recommend!!

I had an incredible experience at Machida Shoten Yuigahama! The staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to assist us, despite the language barrier. The ramen was an absolute delight - in fact, it's the best I've ever had, surpassing my experiences in Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. Without a doubt, Kamakura's Machida Shoten Yuigahama reigns supreme! They do takeout as well!

I tried a bowl of their most inexpensive ramen, only ¥780, and of course, no tips required or asked for in Japan. You can customize the firmness of the noodles (hard, regular, soft), the flavor of the soup (bold, regular, or light), and the amount of fat (heavy, regular, or light). I ordered mine hard, regular, and regular. The ramen was delivered to my table very quickly and exactly as I ordered it. It tasted like a chicken-based soup that had the perfect amount of saltiness to complement the noodles. The noodles seemed to be a bit on the thicker side than at other ramen shops. The slice of chashu pork was extremely tender and tasty. There were also many condiments available on the table. I added some ginger slices halfway through my bowl to give it a slightly different taste. The ramen was delicious. Aside from the ramen, the service was outstanding, although ordering is from a machine. Everyone at the shop was friendly and treated me like a VIP. I recommend this place to everyone.
