A small traditional style hotel and restaurant in a small town near Mount Fuji, right in front of the train station Shimoyoshida. Downstairs there is the restaurant, with low tables to sit on the floor, not easy if you're not used to it, but very fun experience. The food is delicious, and everything is carefully explained with English instructions. The toilet and shower are also downstairs, open to restaurant guests when it's open, and private for the hotel guests when the restaurant is closed. Upstairs it's the only one room, which is quite spacious, and the whole thing is for you. With sliding paper doors, tatami floors, futons to sleep and a low table, it feels very authentic Japanese. If I ever travel to this area again, I'll definitely visit Arakura!

Rating the restaurant. We walked up and down this small little town and all the restaurants were closed. After much frustration we just walked back to the train station and figured to grab something from a vending machine but stumbled upon this restaurant. They serve HALAL fried chicken curry! We were shocked!! Worth visiting.
