More Comments at Google MapLately I haven’t been as adventurous in my travels due to the cold weather. Luckily I have Google maps to show me where the nearby restaurants are. If Google hadn’t shown me I would have never found it as I had to walk up a dirt road to find the place. The workers didn’t speak a word of English and the menu on the wall was on paper and hand written in Japanese. The inside was quaint with some small table and chairs along with traditional Japanese low table seating. I had to use Google translate to order, but it may have been the best chicken Katsu that I’ve I ever had. The presentation was excellent, along with the food flavor and quality, and the portions generous. I honestly ordered and ate way too much, and the bill was under 1150 Yen($12) cash only. I’ll take this as a win for a tiny little micro adventure. Cheers 🥂
This little restaurant was an amazing find! It’s a small, authentic Japanese mom & pop shop serving a wide variety of proper Japanese food. My party got the ramen set, chicken karaage, and chicken katsu, along with drinks (including a glass of sake!) for only about 3500 yen! I would have gladly paid twice that. Despite the cheap price, the quality was excellent, everything perfectly prepared. The proprietors were kind and attentive, and at 6:15pm, we were the only customers there. All in all it was a really great experience, and I hope I have the opportunity to go again sometime. Note that some Japanese ability will be helpful; don’t expect any English here. But you can probably get by pointing to pictures from these reviews and saying “kore o kudasai.” If you want an authentic Japanese meal at a great price, you can’t miss this restaurant!
Splendid service with very well prepared meal. Karaage was very good in my opinion. Friendly. We don’t speak the language but the lady patron did what she could to help us.
