Yokkaichi, Mie, Japan｜Petiscaria Guaruja

Total agreement with the other English reviews. Great food, reasonably priced (and good sized portions!), and the owners are wonderful people. They worked with us in Japanese since I speak no Portuguese and they couldn’t have been nicer. Oh, and the restaurant is no smoking and very clean. This is a hidden Yokkaichi gem. Menus are in Japanese and Portuguese, and they put pictures of much of the food on the wall. You can use those if there is a language barrier!

If you want to enjoy the taste of Brazilian home cooking, you should try it at least once. The owner and his wife are very nice people, and the atmosphere is very familiar, so Japanese people should also feel free to come and interact with them. Every Friday, we also offer Brazilian BBQ staples such as beef skewers, sausage skewers, heart skewers, and pork leek skewers, so these are also recommended.
