It was renewed in 2023. The interior has been updated. We carry souvenirs from surrounding areas such as Odagaki Shoten and Kariba Sake Brewery. There is also a restaurant with a seasonal menu. The cafe menu included black bean soft serve ice cream and black bean cocoa. Payments other than cash such as PayPay and iD are also possible.

For the first time in a long time, I visited Tamba Sasayama when the ban on black edamame was lifted. I used the restaurant Romantei for the first time, which is located in the back of the Taisho Romankan, which is the base for sightseeing. It's not very large, but I was able to have a relaxing meal with a spacious table arrangement, a retro and quiet atmosphere, polite customer service, and a relaxing meal.

Black soybean meal. Miso soup feels like black soybeans the moment you drink it. Black soybean rice is addictive with the taste of black soybeans. Croquettes also attack without losing. The completeness of all meals is high. It was delicious and I enjoyed it!
