If you do not speak Japanese, you should probably ask for "omakase" (as other reviewers have mentioned). The owners has a very rudimentary understanding of english, but does his best! Food was good and the umeshu was lovely! Recommended!

Enjoyed every bite. I came alone and the waitress did all he could to make my stay as pleasant as he could. I let him to help me with the food and he did a good suggestion for me. The sashimi was tasty and beautifully served. Enjoyed the evening so much.

I had dinner here alone on a Friday night at about 6pm and it was an amazing experience. The owner speaks very little english but he is so kind and helpful! I requested omakase and he simply asked how hungry I was as guidance. The drinks & food were incredible, a combination of sashimi, tofu, fried small fish and nabe. He then made what he called Japanese rizotto by cooking rice and eggs into the leftover nabe broth. It was mind-blowing! The izakaya vibes are authentic and smoking inside is allowed so be prepared. I would go back anytime!
