I've been going here since I was a child. The menu has been slightly more carefully selected than in the past. My father used to order yakisoba, but that doesn't exist anymore. (Maybe it can't be helped since we've heard from people since then that it would take some time.) What I especially recommend at this store is to change the various udon and soba menu items to Kii Soba. There will be an additional 50 yen for udon and soba. Of course, both udon and soba have their own distinctive dashi and are very delicious, but the taste of kitsune served with yellow soba is different from kitsune udon, kitsune soba, and Chinese soba. In the case of the mini-mini set, you can't select the fox, so I guess it's the so-called kakeki soba? However, it may be good to be able to enjoy the characteristic taste of dashi and the taste of yellow soba straight. The dashi base used in the store is also on sale, so be sure to check it out. While the store maintains a so-called retro feel, old and unsightly items have been properly replaced. It seems like they are very particular about the utensils they use. The interior of the restaurant is always kept clean, and the natural light that comes in from the back of the restaurant is pleasant, allowing you to enjoy your meal in peace. It's a shame that the business hours are short, but if you have time, I highly recommend this store.
When I was wandering around the city on my trip to Kyoto, I came across it just around noon. We had Kitsune Udon and Inari. Kansai-style sweet soup stock was delicious. My daughter who ate sweet raccoon udon (with sweet fried noodles) was delicious, and she was satisfied that she wanted to eat this kind of thing.
