Takahama, Fukui, Japan｜Nobukou

Nobukou is a small restaurant along Route 27. There are no large signs denoting the restaurant and it looks more like a house with a parking lot (which it kinda is), but somehow the restaurant is always full. This is my probably my favorite local Japanese cuisine restaurant because they serve deliciously huge portions at a fair price. I've had their tonkatsu teishoku and their karaage fried chicken teishoku sets and both were freshly prepared and extremely tasty. They also serve more "regular"-sized rice bowls and plenty of other dishes if you prefer. Make a trip down to beautiful southern Fukui and stop by. This place is definitely highly recommended!

Really good set meal restaurant. Everything that left the kitchen look amazing and us freshly cooked to order. The tempura was delicious. Would go again.
