More Comments at Google MapVisiting from Hawaii, and the owner made such pleasant conversation, welcoming us and accommodating to us even though their menus are in Japanese. They explained all the dishes, made good recommendations and the food was DELICIOUS. Healthy, fresh and very tasty! Good portion sizes. We ordered shrimp ajillo, steak, veggies, the daily appetizer (quiche and patè). The yuzu wine was interestinggggg!! We are for sure coming back here.
I accidentally discovered this small shop when I was preparing to have dinner in Uji. It is not far from Jr Uji Station but in a small alley. It can be seen that the interior has been carefully designed. The menu has a wide range of dishes, using local ingredients and various seasonings. It is very different from ordinary assembly line restaurants. I personally think the curry is the best, and the grilled chicken legs and thick-cut charcoal-grilled beef tongue are also delicious. During the meal, we were the only customers in the store, so we chatted with the people in the store for a long time, and we felt very friendly. If I have a chance to come to Uji next time, I will definitely come here for another meal. If you don’t know what to eat in Uji, definitely consider giving this place a try!
I will definitely come back again If I have chance to come Uji next time. This small family owned business features on their home grown vegetables, all the varieties are fresh, sweet and surprisingly juicy.We two ppl but ordered more than 7 dishes. That’s satisfying.
