Walked past this place and the smell was amazing! Came the next night and what a find. The meat is delicious so tender melt in the mouth. Yes it's a bit smokey but 100% worth it for the food and service. I highly recommend this place.

Food was absolutely amazing, such delicious meat! We had a platter for 2 including sirloin, ribs and spareribs. The cook puts a special sauce on the meat before you cook it which makes it taste even more amazing. Cute little restaurant with great service.

We had an amazing time here. If you have 3 or more people in your group or a looking to sit at a table visit the day before to secure a reservation for the next night or have your hotel book. We ate until we could eat no more. We chose the number 2 plate. We ordered it 3 times for 3 adults with rice and kimchi. It is the best! Try the Plum wine! This is a must visit for high quality beef and attentive service in Kyoto. They have an English menu and it is not hard to communicate what you would like to order.
